Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to make clackr work:

• Notes content. Notes, snapshots, reminders, and tags you create are stored on your device and, if enabled, synced through iCloud under your Apple ID.
• Account info. If you create an optional clackr account, we collect the email address you provide.
• Camera & microphone. Camera access is used only to scan math problems in the AI Math Solver. Microphone access is used only for the AI Lecture Notetaker to record and transcribe audio you choose to record.
• Speech recognition. Audio you record for lecture transcription is processed to produce a text transcript.
• Notifications. Local device notifications for reminders. We do not use a push server for these.
• Diagnostics. Aggregated, anonymous crash and performance data through Apple's standard iOS diagnostics, only if you have opted in on your device.

We take these permissions seriously. Camera and microphone data are used only to fulfill the specific request you initiate — scanning a math problem or recording a lecture. They are never accessed in the background, never used for advertising, and never shared with third parties beyond the processing required to return your solution or transcript.

Your notes, reminders, and version history are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, they are additionally stored in your personal iCloud container, which is managed by Apple. We do not maintain our own copy of your notes.

To power the AI Math Solver and AI Lecture Notetaker, images and audio you submit may be sent to trusted AI processing providers strictly for the purpose of returning a result. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models or for any purpose other than serving your request. Content is not retained beyond the processing window.

You are in control of your data:

• Export any note as text, Markdown, or PDF from within the App.
• Delete a note, its version history, or your entire account at any time from Settings.
• Revoke camera or microphone access from iOS Settings; the affected features will simply stop working.
• Request a copy or deletion of any account-linked data by emailing us at the address below.

clackr is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App and reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
